OPEN CYCLE

OPEN is all about one key idea: freedom. Founded by Andy Kessler and Gerard Vroomen - two respected leaders in the bike industry with a passion for innovation and simplicity - OPEN aims to bring back the feeling of adventure you had when first riding a bike. They design fast, comfortable bikes made for exploring, without being pushed by trends or sales targets. Instead of following the crowd, they build what they believe in. From now on, all OPEN bikes will be made in free, democratic countries like Portugal, Italy, and Taiwan - even if it costs more - because doing the right thing matters more than lowering production costs.

The new OPEN U.P.PER 2.0 is the latest production model and takes its lead from the recently released limited-edition CONCE.PT frame. Both models feature a refined and minimalist design, with the 2.0 updates aimed at improving performance while keeping the comfort OPEN is known for. The front of the bike has been reshaped to enhance aerodynamics without compromising ride quality. Straight chainstays provide a snappier feel, the seatpost area is cleaner and more comfortable, and the frame fits tyres up to 46mm wide. The U.P.PER 2.0 can take both 1x and 2x electronic drivetrains.

A key innovation is the UPPER ZEN cockpit system, which hides cables internally for a clean and protected setup. It works with the new B.A.R. (Break All Rules) handlebar and stem combo, offering micro -adjustability - something most one - piece designs don’t allow. This new frame is a focused, ‘Gravel Fast’ bike created to deliver freedom, simplicity, and adventure in every ride.
