TEMPEST BICYCLES

Tempest Bicycles is a boutique Australian framebuilder based in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales. Founded by Rob Benson, who apprenticed under renowned Canadian builder Paul Brodie, Tempest specialises in handcrafted steel frames tailored to individual riders. Each frame is built to order using premium tubing from Reynolds and Columbus, offering custom geometry and finishes across road, gravel, mountain, and commuter styles.

Beyond framebuilding, Tempest operates a full-service bike shop in Weston, providing sales, servicing, and repairs. They also run a framebuilding school, where enthusiasts can learn to design and construct their own steel frames using the same tools and techniques employed in Tempest and Chimera builds.
